USPS PROVIDES DRAFT FRN ON ADDRESS QUALITY CENSUS MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT PROCESS. USPS: The Postal Service is revising its pending proposal to amend Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), to include a newly proposed measurement and assessment procedure for evaluating address quality for mailers who enter eligible letter- and flat-size pieces of First-Class Mail® (FCM) and Standard Mail® that meet the requirements for Basic or Full-Service mailings.
USPS PROVIDES UPDATE TO PUBLICATION FOR STREAMLINED MAIL ACCEPTANCE FOR LETTER AND FLATS. The Postal Service released a draft of the Publication for Streamlined Mail Acceptance for Letters and Flats in November of 2015. We received valuable feedback from the Industry that included separating the Publication content into distinct categories:
The Mailing Industry is encouraged to review and provide feedback on the updated Publication for Streamlined Mail Acceptance for Letters and Flats, Reporting Guide, and DMM Language no later than July 31, 2016. Feedback should be sent to email@example.com.

USPS PROVIDES CLARIFICATION OF THE MOVE UPDATE STANDARD: FRN: The U.S. Postal Service (USPS®) receives recurring inquiries from the mailing industry relative to the standards for Move Update services. This notice is intended to clarify Move Update requirements in relation to discount mail preparation prices for all commercial mailers, including those authorized as 99 Percent Accurate and Legal Restraint customers. Effective date: July 1, 2016.
POSTCOM SUBMITS COMMENTS TO HOUSE COMMITTEE ON DISCUSSION DRAFT.
HOUSE COMMITTEE RELEASE DISCUSSION DRAFT. The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform release discussion draft of a bipartisan postal reform bill. The full draft is available, as well as a summary. Interested parties have until June 29 to provide comments to the committee staff.
USPS FILES REQUESTED ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IN FY15 ACD. The Postal Service has filed its second response to the Postal Regulatory Commission in the FY2015 Annual Compliance Determination (ACD). The response provided requested additional information regarding several matters within ninety days. Items covered include 1) Inbound Letter Post, 2) IMTS-Outbound and IMTS-Inbound Products, 3) Inbound Parcel Post (at UPY rates) Products, 4) International Ancillary Services, 5) EPG Agreement, 6) Service Performance – FCM Single Piece Letters/Postcards.
